This page explains what data the regisenregie.fr website and the Régis en Régie app (downloaded from the website or from the Microsoft Store) collect, why, for how long, and how to exercise your rights. In short: the bare minimum, no ads, no trackers.

Data collected

If you browse without an account

• Host technical logs (IP address, date, requested page, browser): kept by OVH for server security and operation.
• Download counter: a plain number per library item that does not reveal who downloaded what.

If you sign in with Twitch

• Received from Twitch: your Twitch ID (a number), username, display name and avatar URL. No email, no password: the site never sees them.
• What you add: your bio (if you write one) and your favourites.
• What you publish: the file, its title, description and tags are public and linked to your username; they disappear from the website when you remove them or delete your account. New members' creations are reviewed by the team before they become visible.
• The creations' ID card: when you publish, the website writes into the .regis file the title, your username, your account number and the date, with a seal that shows this information hasn't been changed. It is used to credit the original author when someone publishes a modified version (“Based on…”) and to spot copies. It travels with the file: the website can't remove it from copies already downloaded.
• Team alerts: if a published file carries a tampered ID card, or republishes someone else's creation as is, the team is notified, with the creation and account concerned.
• Bugs you report from Régis (Help › Report a bug): your description, the Régis version, your system (Windows, screen) and, if you leave it ticked, the last lines of the Régis log. Nothing is sent without your click; it is deleted at most 180 days later.
• Your connected Régis: for each PC, the device name and last use date. You can sign them all out from your account; a session expires on its own after 90 days.
• Dates: account creation and last visit.

Security

• On each sign-in attempt (account or admin), the IP address is kept for 15 minutes to block repeated attempts.

The Régis en Régie app

Régis runs on your PC. It contains no ads, no analytics and no telemetry: it sends nothing about how you use it.

What stays on your PC

• Your profiles, screens, settings and media, in the %APPDATA%\RegisEnRegie folder. They are never sent anywhere, unless you publish an item to the website library yourself.
• Your Twitch connection: the token issued by Twitch is encrypted by Windows (DPAPI) and can only be read by your Windows session. Régis never sees your Twitch password.
• Chat statistics (viewer usernames, message counts, stream durations): computed and kept on your PC only, for your own screens. They are not sent anywhere.
• The Régis log (logs\app.log), used to understand a crash. It only leaves your PC if you attach it to a bug report.

What Régis exchanges, and with whom

• Twitch: when you connect your channel, Twitch asks, all at once, for your permission:
  • to change your stream's title and category (channel:manage:broadcast);
  • to moderate your chat from Régis: time out or ban a viewer, delete a message, set slow mode or subscribers-only mode, post an announcement, give a shoutout (moderator:manage:banned_users, moderator:manage:chat_messages, moderator:manage:chat_settings, moderator:manage:announcements, moderator:manage:shoutouts);
  • to read and write in the chat (chat:read, chat:edit, user:read:chat, user:write:chat);
  • to see and create your channel point rewards (channel:read:redemptions, channel:manage:redemptions);
  • to see and start polls and predictions (channel:read:polls, channel:manage:polls, channel:read:predictions, channel:manage:predictions);
  • to see your channel's events: new followers, subscriptions, bits, hype trains, goals, ad breaks and present viewers (moderator:read:followers, channel:read:subscriptions, bits:read, channel:read:hype_train, channel:read:goals, channel:read:ads, moderator:read:chatters);
  • to create a clip of your stream (clips:edit).
  Everything is requested at once so you don't have to reconnect with every new version; some of these permissions are for features still to come. Régis never acts on its own: it only moderates, changes your title or category, or creates or starts something (reward, poll, prediction, clip), when you ask it to. Régis receives this information (for example a viewer's username, a reward's name, an optional text) to display it and react in your screens, and downloads emotes from Twitch. None of it is sent anywhere else.
• regisenregie.fr: the update check (only the latest version number), the library (what you choose to import), your account if you sign in, and the bug reports you send (see above). To sign you in, Régis sends your Twitch token to the website, which has Twitch verify it and does not keep it.
• YouTube: only if you add a YouTube video to a screen; it plays in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).
• Your local network: OBS and your phone (Stream Deck) connect to Régis on your network. This connection does not go through the internet and nothing is sent to a server.
• Microsoft Store: if you installed Régis from the Store, Microsoft installs its updates, under its own privacy policy.

Erase everything

• Uninstall Régis, then delete the %APPDATA%\RegisEnRegie folder.
• Revoke Régis's access in your Twitch settings, under “Connections”.
• If you have an account on the website, delete it from “My account”.

Purposes and legal basis

• Providing your account (profile, favourites, import into Régis): performance of the service you request (GDPR art. 6.1.b).
• Securing the site (logs, brute-force protection): legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f).

Your data is never sold, rented or used for advertising.

Retention

• Account: until you delete it. Deleting it from your account immediately erases your details and favourites.
• Sign-in attempts: 15 minutes.
• Team alerts: until the team has seen them (they are then erased).
• Régis sessions: 90 days at most, or until you sign out.
• Host logs: according to OVH's policy (a few weeks).

Recipients

• OVH SAS (hosting, servers in France);
• Twitch Interactive, Inc. (USA), only when you choose to sign in with Twitch: Twitch verifies your identity. This transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Cookies

The site only uses two cookies, which are either essential or tied to your choice, so no consent banner is needed:

• regis_sid: session cookie (sign-in, form protection). Expires after 30 days.
• regis_lang: your chosen language. Expires after one year.

No advertising cookies, no analytics, no embedded third-party content.

Your rights

You may access, correct, erase or obtain a copy of your data (portability), object to processing or ask for it to be restricted. Email pathephe@regisenregie.fr; you will get an answer within one month.

If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL): www.cnil.fr.
